Wave Washers Product Describsion

Wave washers are Boltead Fastener’s main product. We are a manufacturer also a supplier of these washers. While producing and supplying these washers, we also produce bolts, nuts and other fastener products used in conjunction with them.

The wave washers  we produce are generally classified according to different standards and materials. More specific classifications are as follows:

There are three common classification methods for washer grades.
Washers can generally be classified according to material, such as carbon steel washers and stainless steel washers.
There are also classifications based on use, shape and size, such as Class A, Class C, etc.
In addition, some washers have strength levels, such as spring washers, which are divided into levels 4.8, 8.8, etc.

In addition to different materials and strengths, the biggest impact on wave washers is surface treatment. The following are the more common surface treatments for wave washers: black oxide, black zinc, zinc plated (ZP), color zinc plating (CZP /YZP), hot dip galvanized (HDG), dacromet coating, etc.

Wave Washers Production Process

Wave washers are sent from the raw material line to the final product. They generally go through the following process:
Annealing of raw materials – pickling – drawing – forming – grinding – heat treatment – surface treatment – classification – packaging – shipping

Wave Washers Application fields

Wave washers, also known as wave spring washers, are among the most effective load-bearing washers available. They are small metal discs with a central hole, resembling small doughnuts in appearance. These components are not flat, but instead have a wavy appearance as their name implies. They are designed to absorb stress when under a load, and their three-point contact area and curved design make them well-suited for this purpose. There are various ways in which they are utilized:

Shock Absorbers Wave washers can be designed as shock absorbers to function similarly to compression springs. They can be particularly effective when space is limited.

Compensators Wave washers can also help compensate for variations in the operational capacities of different mechanical devices. They can assist in preventing undesired movement or vibrations in the event of misalignments. When using bolts or screws, they can help prevent any loss of friction that may cause the components to become detached and fall out.

Enhancement of Ball Bearing Functionality These components can also be employed to extend the lifespan of ball bearings and enhance their performance. They aid in reducing bearing noise and eliminating vibrations that could otherwise impact the functioning of the bearings.
