Hex Weld Nuts Product Describsion

Hex weld nuts are Boltead’s main product. We are a manufacturer and also a supplier of these nuts. While producing and supplying these nuts, we also produce bolts, washers and other fastener products used in conjunction with them.

The hex weld nuts  we produce are generally classified according to whether the material is carbon steel or stainless steel. More specific classifications are as follows:

Carbon steel hex weld nuts are generally classified according to strength levels. The more common strength levels are: 4, 8, 10, and 12. Among them, nuts with grade 8 or above are generally called high-strength nuts(high tensile nuts).Stainless steel hex weld nuts are generally classified according to different materials. The more common stainless steel materials are SUS201 SUS304 SUS316

In addition to different materials and strengths, the biggest impact on these nuts is surface treatment. The following are the more common surface treatments for these nuts: black oxide, black zinc, zinc plated (ZP), color zinc plating (CZP /YZP), hot dip galvanized (HDG), dacromet coating, etc.

Hex Weld Nuts Production Process

Hex weld nuts are sent from the raw material line to the final product. They generally go through the following process:
Annealing of raw materials – pickling – drawing – forming – grinding – heat treatment – surface treatment – classification – packaging – shipping

Hex Weld Nuts Application fields

Hex weld nuts are very similar to standard hex nuts, but have a locating boss and welding projections. The bosses also keep weld spatter out of the threads.

  • These nuts are commonly used in automotive and machinery applications to provide a threaded mounting point in metal sheets or components through welding, offering a secure and reliable fastening solution for various industrial uses.
  • These nuts find extensive use in manufacturing and assembly processes for creating threaded connections in thin metal panels, brackets, and assemblies, allowing for attachment of components in industrial machinery and equipment.
  • These nuts are employed in construction and structural engineering for providing a welded-on threaded nut for securing structural elements, steel frameworks, and heavy-duty machinery, offering a durable and integrated fastening method.
  • They are utilized in agricultural machinery and equipment assembly for creating threaded mounting points in metal components, ensuring secure and stable attachments in demanding agricultural operations.
  • In automotive manufacturing and repair, these nuts are used for creating threaded mounting points in vehicle frames, body panels, and chassis components, providing a reliable and integrated fastening solution in automotive structures.
  • These nuts find application in appliance manufacturing for creating secure threaded connections in metal enclosures, brackets, and structural components in household and commercial appliances, ensuring strong and durable attachments.
  • They are also employed in metal fabrication, custom manufacturing, and DIY projects for creating threaded mounting points in various metalwork and welding applications, offering versatility and strength in a wide range of settings.
