Stud Welding Product Describsion

Stud welding are Befast Fastener’s main product. We are a manufacturer of  stud welding and also a supplier of stud welding. While producing and supplying stud welding, we also produce nuts, washers and other fastener products used in conjunction with them.

Stud welding is a technique akin to flash welding, involving the welding of a fastener or specially formed nut onto another metal part, typically a base metal or substrate. The fastener can assume various forms, usually categorized as threaded, unthreaded, or tapped. Automation is often employed to feed bolts into the stud welder. Weld nuts typically feature a flange with small nubs that melt to create the weld. Weld studs find application in stud welding systems, designed for the two primary forms of stud welding: capacitor discharge stud welding and drawn arc stud welding.

Welding studs are generally divided into three types according to welding principles: Drawn arc stud welding, Short cycle stud welding, Capacitor discharge stud welding

In addition to different materials and strengths, the biggest impact on stud welding is surface treatment. The following are the more common surface treatments for stud welding: zinc plated (ZP), color zinc plating (CZP /YZP), hot dip galvanized (HDG), brass coating, dacromet coating, etc.
