Flat Washers Product Describsion

Flat washers are Boltead’s main product. We are a manufacturer of flat washers and also a supplier of flat washers. While producing and supplying lat washers, we also produce bolts, nuts and other fastener products used in conjunction with them.

The flat washers  we produce are generally classified according to whether the material is carbon steel or stainless steel. More specific classifications are as follows:

There are three common classification methods for washer grades.
Washers can generally be classified according to material, such as carbon steel washers and stainless steel washers.
There are also classifications based on use, shape and size, such as Class A, Class C, etc.
In addition, some washers have strength levels, such as spring washers, which are divided into levels 4.8, 8.8, etc.

In addition to different materials and strengths, the biggest impact on flat washers is surface treatment. The following are the more common surface treatments for flat washers: black oxide, black zinc, zinc plated (ZP), color zinc plating (CZP /YZP), hot dip galvanized (HDG), dacromet coating, etc.

Flat Washers Production Process

Flat washers are sent from the raw material line to the final product. They generally go through the following process:
Annealing of raw materials – pickling – drawing – forming – grinding – heat treatment – surface treatment – classification – packaging – shipping

Flat Washers Application fields

Flat washers have a wide range of applications in various industries and settings. Some common applications include:

  • Flat washers are commonly used in construction and structural engineering for distributing the load of a threaded fastener, such as a bolt or nut, over a wider area, providing stability and reinforcement in various building and infrastructure projects.
  • These washers find extensive use in machinery and equipment assembly to prevent damage to surfaces, reduce friction, and distribute the load of fasteners, ensuring secure and reliable connections in industrial settings.
  • Flat washers are employed in automotive manufacturing and repair for use in engine components, chassis assemblies, and suspension systems, providing support and load distribution in critical automotive applications.
  • They are utilized in plumbing and pipe fittings to provide a seal and evenly distribute pressure in water, gas, and hydraulic systems, preventing leaks and ensuring proper sealing and fastening.
  • In electrical and electronic equipment assembly, flat washers are used for insulation, spacing, and load distribution in circuit boards, enclosures, and mounting applications, ensuring secure and stable installations.
  • Flat washers find application in woodworking, carpentry, and furniture assembly for reinforcing joints, reducing friction, and protecting surfaces from damage during fastening and assembly processes.
  • They are also employed in metal fabrication, custom manufacturing, and DIY projects for a wide range of applications where load distribution, surface protection, and reinforcement are essential for secure and reliable fastening.
