Stud bolt Product Describsion

Stud bolts are Boltead’s main product. We are a manufacturer of  also a supplier of these products. While producing and supplying the product, we also produce nuts, washers and other fastener products used in conjunction with them.

The product we produce are generally classified according to whether the material is carbon steel or stainless steel. More specific classifications are as follows:

Carbon steel stud bolts are generally classified according to strength levels. The more common strength levels are: 4.8, 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9. Among them, these products with grade 8.8 or above are generally called high-strength stud bolts (high tensile stud bolts).Stainless steel stud bolts are generally classified according to different materials. The more common stainless steel materials are SUS201 SUS304 SUS316

In addition to different materials and strengths, the biggest impact on stud bolts is surface treatment. The following are the more common surface treatments for stud bolts: black oxide, black zinc, zinc plated (ZP), color zinc plating (CZP /YZP), hot dip galvanized (HDG), dacromet coating, etc.

Stud Bolt Production Process

These product are sent from the raw material line to the final product. They generally go through the following process:
Annealing of raw materials – pickling – drawing – forming – grinding – heat treatment – surface treatment – classification – packaging – shipping

Stud Bolt Application fields

  • Examples of Uses of Stud Bolts:
    1. Flange Connections: These products are commonly used to secure flange connections in piping systems across various industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical processing, and power generation. These bolts provide a reliable and leak-free joint between flanges, ensuring the integrity of the piping system.
    2. Pressure Vessels: These products are essential components in the assembly of pressure vessels used in industries like chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, and food processing. They securely fasten the vessel’s components together, ensuring that the vessel can withstand internal pressure safely.
    3. Heat Exchangers: These products play a crucial role in the assembly of heat exchangers, which are used in various applications, including HVAC systems, refrigeration, and industrial processes. These bolts provide the necessary clamping force to maintain tight seals between heat exchanger components, facilitating efficient heat transfer.
    4. Turbine Connections: In power generation facilities, these productss are utilized to connect turbine components such as casings, diaphragms, and blades. These bolts withstand the high temperatures and stresses encountered in turbine operation, ensuring the structural integrity of the turbine assembly.
    5. Structural Steel Construction: These products are used in structural steel construction for connecting steel beams, columns, and other structural members. They provide a secure connection, contributing to the stability and strength of the overall structure in buildings, bridges, and infrastructure projects.
    6. Machinery Assembly: These products are employed in the assembly of machinery and equipment across various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing. They secure machine components together, ensuring proper alignment and functioning of the machinery.
    7. Railroad Tracks: These products are used in the construction and maintenance of railroad tracks, where they secure rail joints and fasten rail components to the track structure. These bolts withstand the dynamic loads and vibrations associated with train operations, ensuring the safety and reliability of the railway system.
    8. Marine and Shipbuilding: These products are employed in marine and shipbuilding applications for assembling ship structures, including hulls, decks, and bulkheads. They provide a strong and durable connection that withstands the harsh conditions of marine environments, including corrosion and vibration.

These examples illustrate the diverse range of applications for stud bolts across various industries and sectors, highlighting their importance in ensuring the integrity, safety, and reliability of engineered systems and structures.
