Coupling Nuts Product Describsion

Coupling Nuts are Boltead’s main product. We are a manufacturer and also a supplier of these nuts. While producing and supplying these nuts, we also produce bolts, washers and other fastener products used in conjunction with them.

The coupling nuts  we produce are generally classified according to whether the material is carbon steel or stainless steel. More specific classifications are as follows:

Carbon steel coupling nuts are generally classified according to strength levels. The more common strength levels are: 4, 8, 10, and 12. Among them, nuts with grade 8 or above are generally called high-strength nuts(high tensile nuts).Stainless steel coupling nuts are generally classified according to different materials. The more common stainless steel materials are SUS201 SUS304 SUS316

In addition to different materials and strengths, the biggest impact on these nuts is surface treatment. The following are the more common surface treatments for these nuts: black oxide, black zinc, zinc plated (ZP), color zinc plating (CZP /YZP), hot dip galvanized (HDG), dacromet coating, etc.

Coupling Nuts Production Process

Coupling Nuts are sent from the raw material line to the final product. They generally go through the following process:
Annealing of raw materials – pickling – drawing – forming – grinding – heat treatment – surface treatment – classification – packaging – shipping

Coupling Nuts Application fields

Coupling Nuts have a wide range of applications in various industries and settings. Some common applications include:

  • These nuts are commonly used in threaded rod assembly applications, providing a means to extend, connect, or anchor multiple threaded rods together to create longer assemblies for various industrial and construction uses.
  • These nuts find extensive use in plumbing and piping systems for joining and extending pipes, valves, and fittings, allowing for the creation of custom lengths and configurations in water, gas, and hydraulic systems.
  • These nuts are employed in structural engineering and construction for connecting and extending anchor bolts, tie rods, and other threaded components used in concrete formwork, building foundations, and structural connections.
  • They are utilized in machinery and equipment assembly for joining and aligning threaded components, such as leadscrews, spindles, and shafts, providing a versatile and adjustable fastening solution.
  • In automotive applications, these nuts are used to join and extend threaded components in exhaust systems, suspension parts, and custom fabrication projects, offering flexibility in component assembly.
  • These nuts find application in DIY projects and custom fabrication for creating custom-length threaded assemblies in woodworking, metalworking, and general repair and maintenance tasks.
  • They are also employed in electrical and lighting fixtures for joining and extending threaded rods and components in chandeliers, hanging lights, and mechanical supports in commercial and residential settings.
  • Additionally, these nuts are used in various industrial and manufacturing applications where the extension, connection, or alignment of threaded components is required, providing a flexible and adaptable fastening solution.
