DIN3470 Rivet nuts are Befast’s products with relatively high production and supply. The follow are photos of these nuts using some of the more common surface treatments:

Rivet Nuts Product Describsion

Rivet nuts are Boltead’s main product. We are a manufacturer and also a supplier of these nuts. While producing and supplying these nuts, we also produce bolts, washers and other fastener products used in conjunction with them.

The rivet nuts  we produce are generally classified according to whether the material is carbon steel or stainless steel. More specific classifications are as follows:

Carbon steel rivet nuts are generally classified according to strength levels. The more common strength levels are: 4, 8, 10, and 12. Among them, nuts with grade 8 or above are generally called high-strength nuts(high tensile nuts).Stainless steel rivet nuts are generally classified according to different materials. The more common stainless steel materials are SUS201 SUS304 SUS316

In addition to different materials and strengths, the biggest impact on these nuts is surface treatment. The follow are the more common surface treatments for these nuts: black oxide, black zinc, zinc plated (ZP), color zinc plating (CZP /YZP), hot dip galvanized (HDG), dacromet coating, etc.

Rivet Nuts Production Process

Rivet nuts are sent from the raw material line to the final product. They generally go through the follorivet process:
Annealing of raw materials – pickling – draw – forming – grinding – heat treatment – surface treatment – classification – packaging – shipping

Rivet Nuts Application fields

Applications for Rivet Nut Assembly:

  1. Rivet nuts, also known as blind rivet nuts or threaded inserts, are commonly used in metalworking and sheet metal fabrication for creating a threaded connection in thin materials where it may not be possible to use traditional tapped threads.
  2. These nuts find extensive use in automotive and aerospace industries for providing reliable and strong thread attachments in thin sheet metal components, such as vehicle body panels, aircraft interiors, and structural assemblies.
  3. These nuts are employed in electronics and electrical equipment manufacturing for creating threaded mounting points in thin enclosure panels, circuit board housings, and equipment chassis, allowing for secure component attachment.
  4. They are utilized in machinery and equipment assembly for creating strong and durable threaded connections in sheet metal parts, brackets, and enclosures, offering versatility in fastening solutions across various industrial applications.
  5. In construction and building projects, these nuts are used for attaching fixtures, supports, and hardware to thin metal structures, providing a secure and accessible method for creating threaded connections in architectural and infrastructure applications.
  6. These nuts find application in furniture manufacturing and assembly for creating threaded connections in metal furniture frames, brackets, and structural components, offering a versatile and durable fastening solution.
  7. They are also employed in appliance manufacturing for attaching components, handles, and mounting brackets to sheet metal enclosures in household and commercial appliances, ensuring secure and reliable attachments.
  8. Additionally, these nuts are used in custom fabrication, DIY projects, and general repair tasks, providing a convenient and effective way to create threads in thin materials, expanding their application across various industries and settings.
